The crazy old grandad of F1 is at it again in his seemingly never ending quest to correctly guess who will replace Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari when the struggling driver eventually calls it a day.
Eddie Jordan has apparently spent most of his time in COVID-induced isolation thinking up as many ways as possible to get his name in the news again, with some pretty hilarious results.
Eddie’s latest theory is that Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo, Antonio Giovinazzi, Brendon Hartley, Robert Kubica, Alain Prost, Gerhard Berger, Mika Hakkinen, Emerson Fittipaldi, Martin Brundle, Neil Crompton, Jacinda Ardern and a whole host of other names seemingly plucked completely out of thin air will all be signed on as Charles Leclerc’s teammate next year.
“Well, yes. I’ve spent a fair bit of time Googling this.” Eddie told The Waterton Chronicle.
“It’s a 100% certainty that they will replace Vettel next year, you can be sure of that.” added the former Jordan F1 team owner.
Eddie went on to explain that if none of the people he’s mentioned so far ends up doing a deal with Ferrari, he’ll just come up with another ridiculous list.
