Kelly Racing’s last man standing who isn’t related to everyone else in the team Andre Heimgartner found himself in an interesting situation this morning as his preparation for the upcoming BP Supercars All Stars Eseries took an unexpected turn, with the young Kiwi somehow finding himself qualifying for the F1 Virtual Vietnam Grand Prix in Melbourne.
The Waterton Chronicle understands Heimgartner was in the middle of practicing for the upcoming Phillip Island event on iRacing and might have accidentally opened F1 2019, a common issue among sim racers looking for a decent F1 sim.
“Yeah bro, I really just clicked on it to see if it would work, nek minnit I’m following Jenson Button out of the pits at Albert Park in what turned out to be quali.” Andre explained.
After finishing 16th, ahead of F1 veteran Johnny Herbert and annoying, World Cup ruining English cricketer Ben Stokes, Andre told this reporter he’d most likely just delete the game from his computer.
“Meh. It’s rubbish”.
