Bathurst and two-time Supercars Champion Scott McLaughlin is reportedly being investigated by Supercars tonight after Roland Dane complained about his sim rig.
The news comes as Triple 8 boss Roland Dane switches focus from trying to stop McLaughlin beating his drivers in the real world, to working out ways to stop him in the upcoming E-Series.
“Yeah look mate, we’re not really happy with the fact that Scotty’s rig seems to be a bit better than ours. We’ve also heard his internet might be a bit better than Jamie and Shane’s so we’re looking into ways to slow that down.” Roland explained.
Head of E-Series Parity Paulie the Parity Pelican told The Waterton Sports Chronicle the organisation is investigating on behalf of Roland.
“We’re having a look into it, yeah. What we’re looking for really is that Triple 8 is given the best possible opportunity to win, whether that’s in the real world or not. At the moment it looks like Scott McLaughlin might be getting in the way of that a bit.” squawked the seabird.
Paulie went on to explain that when Scotty is found guilty of having a cooler sim rig than Triple 8, he’ll be required to start all future real world and E-Series races from pitlane. He’ll also be banned from using the rig and be required to compete with an old Nintendo64 controller Roland donated in anticipation of this exact scenario.
