Supercars: Roland Installs Giant Red Button For Direct Link To iRacing Bigwigs

Triple 8 team boss Roland Dane is taking no chances ahead of the first race in Supercars’ E-Series, with reports suggesting he has commissioned a giant red button to be installed next to his computer to provide a direct emergency link to iRacing should anyone other than Jamie Whincup or Shane van Gisbergen look like winning at any stage.

A source familiar with the situation told The Waterton Sports Chronicle Dane has spent the last few days testing the direct link to iRacing to make sure he can immediately respond should another team need to be penalised.

“Apparently he’s now looking at installing one next to his fridge and in the bathrooms just to make sure there’s never any delay in lodging protests.” the source told this reporter.

This reporter understands Triple 8 has also fashioned a giant LED sign to be hung above Jamie’s sim rig to display the words “NO JAMIE! DON”T PASS! BAD!” any time Fabian is deployed in the safety car.
