The Williams F1 Team are congratulating themselves this morning after leaving Melbourne joint leaders of both the Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships.

“We’re back baby!” Team Principal Claire Williams told The Waterton Sports Chronicle as she sat in a corner of the garage demolishing a bottle of Chandon.

The achievement comes after the team’s radical strategy of designing and building Formula 2 cars for the last few years didn’t really pay off.

“Now we just need to hope they (Formula One) cancel every event and we’ll be championship winners for the first time since 1997.” Claire explained.

More to come.
