Supercars: Triple 8 “Looking Forward” To Testing Out New Team Penske Rules

Following the news that Supercars has given Head of Supercars Paulie the Parity Pelican sweeping new powers to make sure Triple 8 wins this year, reports are coming in that the team is already working on what they’re imaginatively calling “Operation: Penske Zero”.

The plan apparently involves having a massive whinge every time a Penske car finishes ahead of them in a race, in the hope that Supercars will find some random reason to remove all of Team Penske’s points.

“It might not work every time, but if we whinge enough times they’re bound to reduce Penske to zero a few times throughout the season, which could be championship-defining for us.” explained team boss Roland Dane.

Dane also told The Waterton Sports Chronicle the strategy was “even more important” now that Alex Davison is in the Team Sydney car.

“Yeah, Jono (Webb) keeps saying they’re going to win the championship, and we have no reason to doubt what he says. Plus he’s running Holdens, which automatically makes him more likely to win than the Fords..” Roland added.
