With TEKNO, sorry, “Team Sydney” still maintaining radio silence in what appears to be an effort to pretend everything is absolutely fine, The Waterton Sports Chronicle has learned that team boss Jono Webb apparently borrowed Jack Smith’s old Nintendo Wii and Mario Kart “simulator” for a bit last night.

The news comes as speculation has hit fever pitch that Jono will announce himself as his number 1 driver in his team, driving his car, at the Melbourne GP round in just over a week.

“He certainly rates himself.” said a source close to the situation.

“He put in a few hours on the sim (the Nintendo) last night and reckons he could give Triple 8 and Team Penske a ‘bit of a hard time’ in Melbourne.”.

When this reporter asked why Jono was having no luck recruiting a new driver, the source looked around sheepishly, apparently checking to make sure Jono wasn’t listening and whispered “I think they’re a bit scared of this Teknovirus thing to be honest. They’ve heard all the stories.”
