TEKNO, sorry, “Team Sydney” boss Jono Webb has surfaced this morning to reassure everyone that the team will somehow run two cars at the Melbourne GP event, despite Chris Pither being the only driver still standing.
The Waterton Sports Chronicle has learned that while Jono appears to be more willing to share a Coke with Chris than he was with James, he’s apparently stopped short of sharing the decent stuff.
A source familiar with the situation told this reporter Jono is keeping all the normal Coke for himself, with Chris Pither apparently only allowed to drink the old Cherry Coke found in a dark corner of the Coca-Cola Amatil warehouse untouched since the last strange person bought a can of the stuff in 2004.
Pither is apparently prepared to tolerate the situation, telling our source he’s “just happy to be here really”.
“And anyway, Cherry Coke isn’t that bad once you get used to the aftertaste.” he added.
“2004 was a good vintage too.”.
