Reports are coming in that BJR rookie Jack Smith has been told to get some practice on an Xbox before the next round in Melbourne following a bit of a shocker at the Adelaide 500 over the weekend.
The Waterton Sports Chronicle understands Smith’s dad traded in his old Nintendo Wii and Mario Kart for an Xbox One S and a steering wheel to “really increase the realism”.
“He’s been doing really well on Mario Kart over the last few years, but after the issues he had in Adelaide we realised we needed to give him a proper simulator to get him to a point where he has some chance of keeping it on the track for a few laps.” said Jack’s dad.
The news comes after Smith spent most of the weekend in Adelaide getting in trouble with the stewards or renovating his “Commodore”.
“Yeah, with a bit of practice on Forza we reckon he’ll be good for a top 5 result in Melbourne in a couple of weeks.” his dad explained, completely seriously.
