As Supercars continues to ponder how to avoid turning the series into a one-make Mustang Cup, rumours are swirling that the ZB Commodore will turn up alongside all the other old, obsolete cars not available at dealerships in the Touring Car Masters series next year.
The Waterton Sports Chronicle understands the car is set to be run and driven by Holden tragic and “parity” campaigner Mark Skaife. When this reporter asked Skaife what parity measures would be applied to the Supercar to make sure it’s a fair competition with the other cars in the series, he looked confused.
“Huh? What do you mean? It’s a Holden, why would we try to slow it down? Really it’s up to the other teams to work hard if they want to gain an advantage.” he explained.
“But if we find we’re not winning at any stage, we’ll definitely be asking for parity adjustments to the other cars, just to make things fair.” he added.
More to come.
