Supercars were rubbing their hands together in a state of pure ecstasy for most of the second practice session at the Superloop Adelaide 500 this afternoon, as Triple 8 topped the timesheets for much of the session.
However things took a backward step for the “organisation” (a term we use loosely) late in the session when Will Davison put his Mustang in P2, going faster than Jamie Whincup’s “Holden”.
As a result of Will’s indiscretion, he will meet with race stewards shortly to explain what exactly he was thinking when he decided to go faster than a Triple 8 car.
“It’s just not good enough really.” said Head of Parity Paulie the Parity Pelican.
“We’ve invested a lot of time and energy into getting Triple 8 where Roland wants them to be. Just as it looked like we had it sorted, Will comes along and ruins everything.” he added.
Paulie told The Waterton Sports Chronicle there will be a zero tolerance policy this weekend on anyone in a Ford going faster than Triple 8.
