Supercars Resists Urge To Investigate Scott McLaughlin’s Indycar Test

In utterly shocking news just announced, Supercars has apparently said it won’t be looking into how Scott McLaughlin managed to do so well at his Indycar test at COTA in Texas today.

The decision comes after several years of efforts by Supercars, under the guidance of Paulie the Parity Pelican, to discourage the DJR Team Penske driver from trying to win races with a range of penalties and “parity adjustments”.

Paulie told The Waterton Sports Chronicle the so-called “organisation” had seriously considered investigating whether they could throw some kind of penalty at the Indycar novice.

“Yeah we did look closely at what we might be able to do in this situation after Scotty did unacceptably well in the test, but ultimately we realised that it’s actually better for us and Red Bull if we just stay out of it.” Paulie explained.

“We’ll definitely be supporting him in his efforts to leave our series, so that someone can have a turn at winning in 2021.” squawked the seabird.
