In an apparent attempt to stop all the negative chatter amongst Supercars fans, the “organisation” (a term The Waterton Sports Chronicle uses loosely) has today announced that all Supercars fans will be required to use earplugs at every race meeting during the 2020 season.
The move comes as Supercars tries to get people to stop talking about 2019.
“We’re just a bit sick of all the anti-Supercars stuff.”, Head of Supercars Paulie the Parity Pelican told The Waterton Sports Chronicle.
Paulie went on to explain that the senior management group at Supercars have had earplugs in permanently for at least the last five years.
“It’s worked really well for us. We don’t even have to worry about what the fans are bleating on about, because we can’t hear them.” squawked the seabird.
The pelican told this reporter if it wasn’t for his earplugs blocking out what the fans actually wanted, he might not have tried so hard to get Triple 8 back in front. Supercars senior management has apparently identified the fans who didn’t wear earplugs as the reason that their plan failed, and taken the necessary measures to silence them.
When this reporter pointed out that the plan seems to have more flaws than the entire parity debacle of 2019, Paulie explained that he’s not interested in alternative views and anyone that disagrees with him should just be quiet.
“The fans should really just shut up and do what they’re told.”.
