Red Bull “Holden” Racing Team Announced As 2020 Supercars Champions

Supercars, in partnership with CAMS, have today announced that they’ve had enough of all the sneaking around and so have decided to just give Triple 8 the championship win for 2020, removing the need for anyone to turn up to race meetings next year.

“We’re really pleased to announce that Jamie Whincup has taken his eighth Virgin Australia Supercars Championship” Supercars announced on their Facebook page.

In what would have been a dominant season, Whincup was awarded every race win, pole position, fastest lap, and pit stop challenge. Team mate Shane van Gisbergen finished next years championship in second place, although Supercars has announced him as 2021 champion as long as he stays at Triple 8.

2018 champion Scott McLaughlin finished the 2020 season in last place after receiving retrospective arbitrary penalties for made up infringements at every round of the 2020 championship.

“What a great result from a great team! Well done! Well done!” said Mark Skaife, of his favourite team’s performance.

More to come.
